Mandatory Reporting Webinars- Attention all Queensland services!

Are you aware of the impending introduction of Mason’s Law within the Early Years Sector?

As of 1 July, 2017, all educators within the Early Years Sector will be mandated to report under the Child Protection Act 1999 if they have a reasonable suspicion that a child has suffered, or is at an unacceptable risk of suffering, harm of a physical or sexual nature.

This change in legislation places a legislative requirement on educators to report such suspicions. This is in addition to any Duty of Care that you have under civil law and a requirement under your particular service’s Policies and Procedures.

  • Do you know what to look for?
  • When to report?
  • How to report?
  • Where to report?
  • In what format to report?
  • How to manage a disclosure?

The team at In Safe Hands Educators in Safety will be holding a series of one hour webinars throughout April, May and June to answer these and any other questions you may have in relation to your new reporting obligations.

The cost is $25 per person with a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more.

Webinars will be held on the following dates from 6.30pm to 7.30pm:
April: Thursday 20th (SOLD OUT) & Wednesday 26th
May: Tuesday 2nd, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 17th, Thursday 25th & Tuesday 30th
June: Wednesday 7th & Wednesday 14th
