In Safe Hands Educators In Safety applauds West Arana Hills Junior Rugby League Club for providing their coaches, managers and officials Child Protection training. Having coaches educated in how to act appropriately around children, deal with difficult emotional situations, and knowing how to identify concerns early and engage support, really identifies West Arana as the club of choice in Brisbane for parents wanting their child to be engaged with not only someone who they trust to develop their child’s physical, social and sporting interest, but someone to provide the emotional safety and wellbeing in this team environment. In 2009 the Council of Australian Governments endorsed the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009 – 2020, which is based on the premise that “protecting children is everyone’s business” and West Arana Hills Junior Rugby League Club are leading the way in sport in Brisbane and making sure their community is supporting this framework for a better and safer future for our children.
