In Safe Hands applaud the Queensland Government in appointing the Honourable Timothy Francis Carmody SC to conduct an inquiry to chart a road map for the State's child protection system. Michael Pecic, from In Safe Hands, commented, "Hopefully this road map will further support the Federal Governments, National Framework for Protecting Australia's Children 2009-2020. We hope to see the importance of training, education and early intervention programs highlighted in this inquiry along with developing key recommendations to support the child protection system in responding to those children at risk."
